Space-Variant Coherent Optical Processing.

Abstract

This report describes various techniques for performing linear, space-variant operations with coherent optical processors. Both theoretical and experimental results are presented. Generalized one dimensional space-variant processors capable of performing a broad class of superposition integral operations are presented. Applications including integral transform evaluation and ambiguity function display are presented. Two-dimensional space-variant processors are also discussed, with several approaches being discussed. (Author)
