Approximation Techniques for Control Systems with Delays.

Abstract

A theoretical framework for approximation techniques for nonlinear system optimal control problems is presented. Two particular approximation schemes that may be used in the context of this framework are discussed and typical numerical results for two examples to which we have applied these schemes are given. A brief survey of related investigations is given.
