Climate, Soils and Vegetation of the Rampart Range, Colorado.

Abstract

This report reviews the climate, soils and vegetation of a segment of the Colorado Front Range and adjacent Colorado Piedmont. Variations in temperatures, precipitation, evaporation, and wind are analyzed as are the soil associations. The grassland biome, scrub biome, and coniferous forest biome and their distribution are also described. (Author)
