BEAR Buoy: The Mooring Configuration Model and Method Used to Correct Sensors for Vertical Displacement.

Abstract

This report constitutes Part 2 of a two part report. Part 1 (AD-A051 517) dealt with details of the system design and calibration. This report first develops the mathematical model used to determine the mooring configuration for varying conditions of external forcing. Second, the method used to correct sensors (thermistors) for vertical displacements is presented. Included are case study comparisons of the model predictions vs actual measurements.
