Rare Earth Ceramic Technology (U.S.S.R.).

Abstract

This study presents and documents an analysis of the sources and uses of rare earth element oxides and ceramics in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The purpose of this study is to provide an adequate basis for the comprehension of the strategic background for the uses of rare earth compounds. With this knowledge the addition of new information can be properly applied to understand the level of technology and rate of advancement of rare earth compound technology within the U.S.S.R. as well as other nations. This data base is intended to provide further support for the acquisition and placement of new data into proper perspective for rapid, up-to-data technological assessments. The information contained in this study is based upon open source scientific and technical literature. (Author)
