HDA Corrosion Chemistry.

Abstract

An experimental procedure for the detection of phase separation in HNO3 - N2O4 mixtures by electrical conductivity measurements has been developed. This method has also been used to investigate the influence of Fe(NO3)3.1.5N2O4 and KNO3 on the two-phase boundary of the HNO3 - N2O4 phase diagram in the acid-rich region. The two-phase boundary is not greatly influenced by these additives.
