North Branch Potomac River Basin Mine Drainage Study. Phase I. Baseline Survey.

Abstract

This baseline survey of the mine drainage and related water resources of the North Branch Potomac River Basin established the extent, magnitude, and effects of coal mine drainage pollution. Alternative abatement and reclamation solutions were considered. Study included an analysis of socioeconomic and environmental conditions as related to the mine drainage problem.
