Documentation of Helicopter Aeroelastic Stability Analysis Computer Program (HASTA)

Abstract

This report is the documentation manual for the computer program Helicopter Aeroelastic Stability Analysis (HASTA) developed under Army Contract Number DAAJ02-76-C-0032. The HASTA program predicts the air resonance behavior of coupled rotor/helicopter Support structure) systems including rotor drive shaft torsional flexibility, anisotropic gearbox support flexibility, and control system anisotropic flexibility. The consideration of rigid, articulated, gimballed, teetering, flexstrap, and bearingless rotor systems is allowed. This manual contains: a description of the method of solution, a list of program variables, a discussion of the equations, a listing of the program, instructions on the use of the program, sample input and output listing, and additional information pertaining to the computer program.
