INTERAC - An Interactive Software Package for Direct Digital Control Design.

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is to develop an interactive, user oriented software package for direct digital control system design. The batch mode program, FORTRAC, developed by Professor Brian Porter of the University of Salford, England, is the source of the computational algorithms used. This report details the input, output, and program sequence control software developed to produce an efficient, user oriented interactive package. The package is very forgiving of user errors and gives the user complete control over what data to input, what data will be output, and which parts of the program are executed. The package is quite useful in the design process for discrete-time time-optimal control systems, where many possible control parameter variations must be examined. (Author)
