Combustor Design and Operation for a Sub-Scale Turbojet Test Cell.

Abstract

A high pressure, water-cooled ramjet-type combustor capable of producing various amounts of particulates has been designed, constructed and operated in the sub-scale turbojet test cell. The combustor can be utilized to perform further studies concerning the effects of engine operating characteristics and test cell design on particulate concentrations, and also the effects of fuel additives on the amount and composition of particulates emitted.
