A Theory of Particle and Energy Flux from the Magnetic Flutter of Drift Waves.

Abstract

A quasi-linear theory of particle and energy flux by magnetic flutter associated with drift waves is presented. It is shown that magnetic flutter can enhance the energy flux. However, particle diffusion is ambipolar and runaway electrons do not escape along the field lines. (Author)
