Waterway Point Directory for the Great Lakes, Atlantic, and Pacific Areas.

Abstract

The Waterway Point Directory is a quick-reference working document for use by engineers and planners in the general fields of river navigation and waterborne commodity movements. All navigable rivers, bays, streams, creeks and other such waterways in the Great Lakes, Atlantic, and Pacific areas are included in this initial printing of the Directory. The waterways included in the Directory are listed by responsible Corps district in three separate appendices. The Directory is, in essence, a compilation of significant data relating to each commercial dock, town, landing, navigation lock, bridge, junction, and other such river points contained in selected portions of the U.S. Army Engineer Waterborne Commerce Statistics Center (WCSC) Port and Dock Code Manual (Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4). Eight other different types of reference documents and maps were used to compile the information on each river point.
