Self Rewarding and Task Performance: Internal and External Criteria.

Abstract

An empirical test is performed on a model of the relationships between self rewarding and job performance. The cognitive structure that is posited by the model is confirmed when an internal criterion is used but not when an external criterion is used. The implications are discussed. (Author)
