Abstract

This report describes the technological development of the Carb-Tek(Trade Name) Molten Salt Li/Cl system toward prototype production for eventual assembly into fork lift truck batteries. Engineering developments, cost reductions, and pilot line operations are described and discussed. Significant failure mode is attributed to certain cell components. Seals are a problem. (Author)
