Procedure for Estimating Zero Yaw Drag Coefficient for Long Rod Projectiles at Mach Numbers from 2 to 5

Abstract

Procedures for estimating the drag coefficient of either finned or flared projectiles are presented for application in the Mach range from 2 to 5. The techniques are based on linearizations of curves and simplifications of analyses as extracted from AMC Pamphlet 706-280.
