A Reliability - Maintainability - Availability Assessment of 3-Inch 50-Caliber Rapid Fire Twin Gun Mounts Mark 33 Mod 0 and Mod 13.

Abstract

This report presents the results of a study of the in-service reliability, maintainability, and availability of 3-Inch 50-Caliber, Rapid Fire Twin Gun Mounts Mark 33 Mod 0 and Mod 13, based on a sample of operational and maintenance data from thirteen Navy ships. The report also includes a review of certain proposed changes to the gun mounts and assesses the potential for increased reliability, maintainability, and availability that might be expected as a result of these changes.
