B-58 Aircraft Avionic Subsystems Reliability and Maintainability Improvement Program.

Abstract

This report presents the progress of an engineering project for improvement of the reliability and maintainability of the B-58 aircraft avionic subsystems. The report, covering 15 months of a 2-year effort expended primarily on the AN/APN-113 Doppler Radar subsystem and the AN/ALQ-16 Defensive Electronics Countermearures equipment, identifie major sources of failure and describes corrective engineering actions. It further identifies areas that require corrective action which are outside the scope of this project. (Author)
