Safety Analysis LOX-30 Liquid Oxygen Generator.

Abstract

Safety of the LOX-30 Liquid Oxygen Generator was evaluated in accordance with MIL-STD-882. Thirteen safety/control devices and fifteen operational areas were extensively analyzed. Twenty-seven hazard classifications were assigned. Location of the storage vessel relief valve presents a severe personnel hazard. Incorporation of a shield around this relief valve to protect personnel would mitigate this hazard. No other significant safety hazards were identified. (Author)
