Analysis of Mobility Data from the Division Restructuring Evaluation Battalion Test.

Abstract

The battalion test was a field exercise of the proposed tank and mechanized infantry T-series battalions and the current H-series battalions. The TRADOC Combined Arms Testing Agency conducted the test and authored the test report, which entails in depth side-by-side comparisons of the alternative organizations with respect to fire and maneuverability, combat support, combat service support, and command/control and communications. This paper describes the data reduction/analysis performed on the Division Restructing Evaluation-Battalion test data. These data were limited to information concerning maneuver operations for selected instrumented units and command/control information for instrumented/noninstrumented units of the respective organizations. The data analysis results were provided as input to the CACDA CARMONETTE modeling effort in support of the Division Restructuring Evaluation.
