Description of the MILSATCOM Loading Program 'OPAL'.

Abstract

This report describes a computer program that performs loading calculations on military communication satellites. The program interfaces with the JCS approved user requirements data base (URDB) to assess the ability of different satellites to meet stated requirements. Different satellites, priorities, scenarios and time frames may be specified by the user. The program calculates the satellite resources needed to satisfy the requirements. (Author)
