Users Guide for the MILSATCOM Loading Program 'OPAL'.

Abstract

This report describes the use of a computer program that interfaces with the JCS-approved User Requirements Data Base (URDB) to assess the ability of different satellites to meet stated requirements. Input to the program consists of specifications of various program options controlling satellite modeling, the loading algorithm and 'sieves' on the URDB. Output consists of loading results summarized according to several criteria. The program is run in batch on the IBM/370 at Reston, VA, or the IBM/360 at Arlington.
