Nonlinear Spectroscopy.

Abstract

Using the technique of multiphoton ionization spectroscopy, we have studied Rydberg series of states in the alkaline earth atoms Ca, Sr and Ba. Long series of states not previously identified were observed and analyze using multichannel quantum defect theory.
