A Review of Dynamic Response of Composites.

Abstract

The purpose of this project was to review the state of the art on the dynamic response of composites and to suggest possible future research directions. More than three hundred papers are reviewed and compiled at the end of this report. The existing theories of the dynamic response of composites are summarized in Chapter I. The harmonic waves and transient waves in, and the experiments on, composites are discussed in Chapters II, III and IV, respectively. The differences between various theories and possible future research directions are presented in Chapter V. (Author)
