Some Recent Results on Dissipative Processes.

Abstract

A detailed study of dissipative processes has obvious implications in the asymptotic behavior of solutions of differential equations. The properties of such maps has been extensively studied over the past years with the base space being a Banach space rather than R to the nth power. The results on asymptotic behavior pertain to the properties of solutions of functional differential equations of retarded and neutral type as well as certain types of partial differential equations. It is the purpose of this lecture to present some recent developments in this theory.
