Boundary Conditions for Time Dependent Problems with an Artificial Boundary.

Abstract

Many physical problems require the solution of partial differential equations on some infinite domain Omega with boundary del Omega. For computational reasons Omega is replaced by a finite domain Omega sub 1. The problem arises to specify boundary conditions at the artificial boundary B sub 2 and this paper discusses special techniques.
