NCAR Sonde Flight Test Report.

Abstract

This report documents an operational test of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) wind-finding dropsonde. The testing, conducted over the Pacific Ocean about 30 miles from Vandenberg AFB, CA, took place on 11-12 December 1974. The object of the tests was to determine the ability of the dropsonde to measure stable atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity.
