High Resolution Transmission Measurements of the Atmosphere in the Infrared.

Abstract

The report gives a summary of infrared solar observations from the ground, obtained in 1977. It also mentions the scientific efforts which have been devoted to the analysis of these observations, in order to deduce new informations on both the solar and the telluric atmospheres. In relation to the problem of the pollution of the stratosphere, the observations have allowed to conclude on the usefulness of ground monitorings for species such as HF and CHl. (Author)
