Reference Bibliography on Operating System Design Issues for Distributed Systems (First Release).

Abstract

This is a working draft of a future reference bibliography on distributed systems, their architecture and principally their controlling software known as an executive or operating system. The general operating systems literature pertaining to those issues which are considered most relevant for distributed systems (i.e., Communications and Synchronization, Protection, Fault-Tolerance, System Structuring Concepts, Programming and Control Languages) has also been included.
