Development of a High Acceleration Gas Generation System.

Abstract

A program was conducted to develop further a solid fuel gas generator system. The gaseous output was cool (less than 550 F) most of its operating time and contained no large (less than 10 micrometers) particulate matter. Tests were conducted from -40 to 165 F to determine ignition delay and thermal sensitivity. Six conformance tests were conducted in flight-type hardware. Five complete nitrogen gas generator systems were delivered to MIRADCOM. (Author)
