Test Results - Advanced Development Models of BISS Identity Verification Equipment. Volume I. Executive Summary.

Abstract

This volume presents an executive summary of the results of testing the developmental models for speaker, handwriting, and fingerprint personal identity verification. The purpose of the program was to determine their Type I error rate (false rejection of authorized personnel), random Type 2 error rate (false admittance of unauthorized personnel), and throughput. Volumes 2, 3, and 5 will present the detailed results of the speaker, handwriting and fingerprint systems, respectively. Volume 5 will present miscellaneous but related subjects. This revision contains several corrections based on further analysis of the data . Several typographical errors have also been corrected. These corrections are indicated by bars in the margin next to the changed text. (Author)
