The Determination of Ozone Concentration in a Laboratory Ozone Cabinet.

Abstract

Three methods for the determination of ozone concentration in the range normally found in laboratory ozone cabinets have been compared. The methods were (1) potentiometric 'spray-jet' titration, (2) handheld gas-detector tube and (3) a chemiluminescence apparatus. Some of the common sources of error have been identified and the precautions necessary to obtain reliable results are mentioned. It has been shown that the simple hand-held gas detector is capable of producing acceptable results for specification control purposes. (Author)
