A Digital Control Unit for a Rocket Borne Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer.

Abstract

To control a quadrupole mass spectrometer during a rocket flight a programmable digital control unit has been developed. The design centers around a programmable read only memory. Up to eight different programs of 16 breakpoints may be sequentially selected. For data transmission, a PCM system has been included into the control unit. The operation and the circuits of the unit are described. (Author)
