Evaluation of DOD Remote Set Fuzing Programs Final Report on JTCG/WPFF Ad Hoc Committee.

Abstract

A study was conducted by the Joint Technical Coordination Group Working Party for Fuzes on the current status of tri-Service remote set fuzing concepts. The study group concluded that several concepts were being investigated to satisfy a single need and that these parallel efforts were justified. The study group also concluded that there were no duplicative efforts and each concept selected for pursuit appeared to be the best choice made. Several areas were identified that could lead to commonality between Army and Navy artillery fuzes. A joint agreement existed between the Navy and Air Force for commonality of future store management systems. (Author)
