The Effect of Active Area on The Legibility of Dot Matrix Displays.

Abstract

The dependence of legibility on active area for dot matrix displays was studied in an experimental program with human subjects. Under normal conditions, such dependence appears to be minimal. Under stressed conditions, there is a threshold at the 30 percent active area region, above which dependence again appears to be minimal. (Author)
