Structural Inelasticity XX. Failure of Composites.

Abstract

A review of composite materials is presented. Primary emphasis is on fiber-reinforced composites. Particular attention is paid to various failure mechanisms in tension, compression, and shear. Existing results are summarized and suggestions are given for future research. (Author)
