Speckle and Specular Effects in Active Infrared and Submillimeter Imaging Systems.

Abstract

Speckle effects and specular reflections from nondiffuse surfaces affect the ability of active infrared and submillimeter systems to image scenes. These effects and associated problems with respect to recognition and identification of images are investigated in this report. (Author)
