One Factor Affecting the Dispersion of Long Rod Penetrators

Abstract

The aerodynamic jump term is examined for application to finned projectiles. Values of static aerodynamic properties, determined by referenced tabular procedures, are compared with test data and are considered with some implications of the effects of the physical and geometric properties of the projectile. The results are presented in a generalized nomenclature based on normalized physical properties and dimensions.
