Environmental Conditions in Coastal Waters Near Panama City, Florida

Abstract

This report is a concise description of coastal environmental conditions in the vicinity of Panama City, Florida. It contains information regarding the bathymetry and bottom characteristics of the nearby Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrew Bay, as well as descriptions of local weather phenomena, wave action, tides, currents, water temperature, salinity, density, sound velocity, clarity, and selected marine biological activity. Seasonal variations are emphasized.
