Botulism.

Abstract

The volunteers in these studies were United States Army personnel or professional civilian personnel at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, Frederick, Maryland. These tests were governed by the principles, policies, and rules for medical volunteers as established by the Army Regulation 70-25 and the Declaration of Helsinki. The study was conducted as part of a long-term program for the investigation of mechanisms of vaccine efficacy and host responses to infectious diseases.
