Digital Ionospheric Sounding in the Arctic.
Abstract
A Digisonde 128PS measures incidence angles and doppler shifts within the ionograms. An airborne Digisonde onboard AFGL's Flying Ionospheric Observatory uses the doppler information to estimate the angle of arrival of the echoes. The monthly median curves of the Goose Bay ionospheric parameters are presented for the period March 1976 to April 1977.
