A Study of Adsorbed Molecules on Metal Surfaces.

Abstract

The adsorption of nitrogen on gold using a new capacitance technique was measured. At both high and low coverages interesting results have been obtained concerning the interaction of N2 molecules and the gold substrate. Some effects of the interaction of adsorbates with metal substrates were examined. The effect of adsorbates at a hydrocarbon-water interface were also looked at.
