An Evaluation of Organization Effectiveness: A Longitudinal Investigation of the Effects of Survey Feedback as an Action Research Intervention on Unit Efficiency, Employee Affective Response, Intergroup Relations and Supervisory Consideration in the U.S. Army

Abstract

A six month action research project designed to evaluate the effects of survey feedback used as an intervention strategy within engineer units in a military setting. Dependent variables include (a) Unit Efficiency (b) Measures of Soldiers attitudes, both general and specific satisfactions (c) Intergroup Relations and (d) Supervisory Consideration. Conclusions about Evaluations of programs in actual work settings are also discussed. Finally, recomendations have been made about the practical implications of this study in the US Army.
