Abstract

The U. S. Naval Applied Science Laboratory is conducting investigations to improve the performance of electro-mechanical tow cables for variable depth sonar applications. This memorandum concerns an investigation of causes of conductor failure in an AN/SQA-13 tow cable removed from the USS SAUFIEY (DE-465) as reported.
