A Preliminary Comparison of the Acoustical Properties of the B. F. Goodrich Rubber Dome Panel with those of a 100-Mil. Stainless Steel Dome Panel.

Abstract

The tests, described herein, are part of a preliminary material investigation program, the object of which is the improvement of materials selected for sonar dome construction. The particular phase of the program covered in this report is the determination of the acoustic properties of a promising dome materials, a three-layer laminated rubber product of B. F. Goodrich Company. General background information relating to this dome material may be found in references (a) through (f). (Author)
