Inclusion of Earth Reflected Fields in the High Altitude EMP Code LHAP.

Abstract

Fields reflected from the ground affect calculations of the high-altitude-burst EMP at times later than about 100 microseconds. A simple procedure has been developed for calculating the reflected fields and the LHAP code has been modified to include these fields in the calculation of the total EMP. With this modification the LHAP calculations are valid up to about one millisecond. (Author)
