A Mixer-Receiver for the Parametric Acoustic Receiving Array (PARRAY)

Abstract

A receiver for a Parametric Acoustic Receiving Array (PARRAY) based on a high performance mixer appears to be well suited to the requirements of some PARRAY applications. This type of receiver is analyzed and an expression for receiver performance in a PARRAY system is presented. A simple design technique for achieving different frequency response characteristics in the receiver is developed and several examples of the use of this technique are shown.
