Low Cost Plastic Actuator Process Development.

Abstract

The feasibility of a hydraulic actuator made principally of molded plastic was demonstrated under Air Force contract F33615-74-C-3013. The present contract, F33615-76-C-3086, concerns the investigation of various processes and molding techniques to improve the yield of parts capable of withstanding the hydraulic pressures necessary for actuator operation.
