REACT II Computer Program User's Manual

Abstract

The REACT II computer program simulates port and shipping operations for movement of cargo by sealift. Port and berth characteristics, ship types and characteristics, cargo types and amounts, and shipping routes are input. Model output consists of cargo generated and delivered by type and port, ship and port utilization, and ship operating costs. The model output is designed to assist the logistics analyst in assessing shipping and port operations. Output summaries for each port include its use by each ship and the amount of cargo that entered and left the port. (Author)
