Spatial Data Management System

Abstract

This report describes the design and implementation of a prototype spatial data management system (SDMS). Spatial Data Management is a technique for organizing and retrieving textual, symbolic, and pictorial information by positioning it in an Information Space maintained through the use of interactive computer graphics. The system currently under construction will employ a multiple channel color raster scan display to allow a user to organize his information within nested 'planes' of data over which he can maneuver a window by the use of joy sticks.
