MERADCOM/OSU Hydraulic System Reliability Program.

Abstract

The overall purpose of the U.S. Army MERADCOM/Oklahoma State University Program is to provide the military with tools for the scientific appraisal of fluid power systems. The activity of the program during this year includes the following: (1) Component Fatigue Life Determination, (2) Noise Attenuation, (3) Valve Contamination Sensitivity, (4) Hydraulic Component Degradation Assessment, (5) Mathematical Modeling and Machine State Assessment, (6) Non-destructive Contaminant Testing, (7) Electrostatic Effects on Filtration, and (8) Filter Quality Control. This report presents a detailed accounts of the project activities in each of the above areas. (Author)
